I'm not much of a NASCAR fan, but it's better than the other sports going on right now. So, I'm thrilled that there's some sort of sport that I give a rat's ass about on TV again. Not too long until the Cubs start with Spring Training ... but I'm patient.
"Little E" won the Daytona 500; good for him! Out of all the drivers, he's gotta be my favorite. Freakily enough, he did it 6 years TO THE DAY after his father did. Also, it's been 3 days shy of 3 years since Dale Earnhardt's death. *shiver*
Regardless, I couldn't be happier for Dale Jr. I can't even imagine what it must be like to drive past the exact point where your father died several hundred times in a few hours, doing the exact same thing he was doing when he died. Anyone that can put that aside and concentrate on the job at hand deserves a victory like that.
